Few things beat beachcombing. It's Mother Nature's "whole-istic" remedy for a natural, healthy life-style. You bring treasures home in your pocket; stroll your body, mind, and spirit toward better health; and develop an interesting, inexpensive, life-long hobby to do alone or with family and friends.

In terms of treasure hunting, beachcombing is so much more than just shell or sea glass collecting. The artifacts you find can teach you about history and geology, archaeology and biology. As your knowledge base grows, so does your ability to identify an item's origin, age, or function; picture how a mollusk survives and adds to the health of our seas; or determine the geologic or paleontologic background of rocks and fossils you find.

Better yet, with your attention drawn to all that lies in the sand or washes onto the shore, you'll find that worry, concern, and self-doubt somehow slip from your mind. You return home feeling more refreshed and relaxed, even hopeful; your step lighter, your spirit uplifted, your imagination stretched, your body exercised.  Not a cent was spent. Not a pill was taken. Not a drink was poured. And you have pockets of fascinating treasures to sort through.

So what's keeping you? There's magic waiting for you on a beach somewhere in this big, beautiful world of ours. Let me help you find it.
